Nestled in the grounds of Turnberry Resort, you will find Turnberry Equestrian Centre, home to our very own equine family consisting of majestic Percheron and Cob horses, alongside our delightful ponies. We embrace Equido Horsemanship principles- a natural approach to training that forms a true bond between horse and rider.
By leveraging our expertise in horse and rider biomechanics, psychology, body language and energy, we aim to optimise both horse and rider while prioritising well-being and lasting performance.
The welfare of our horses and ponies is of utmost importance to us and so we ensure effective training, a safe and nurturing environment, and lots of love is provided to guarantee our equine companions thrive and reach their full potential.

LESSONS & RIDES
We offer a diverse range of horse riding lessons catered to both beginners and advanced riders. Whether you're taking your first steps into the equestrian realm or aiming to enhance your riding skills alone, or with a friend, we have something special for everyone. Our qualified instructors take pride in offering personalised lessons designed to meet your specific preferences and developmental goals.
If you're a horse owner, we welcome you to join us with your equine companion in our brand-new outdoor arena. Here, you can refine your skills and strengthen your partnership with your horse. Our expert instructors will guide you through both riding and ground-based lessons, exploring essential techniques like groundwork and long reining, along with effective problem-solving approaches.
BEACH RIDE

One of the highlights of Turnberry Equestrian Centre is the opportunity to experience the thrill of horse riding at Turnberry Beach, an exhilarating adventure that allows riders to soak in the incredible views of the Ailsa Craig and beyond. Imagine the wind in your hair as you gallop along the sandy shore, immersing yourself in the breathtaking scenery that Ayrshire is renowned for.
ESTATE TREK

Our Estate Treks allow riders of all abilities to explore the beauty of Turnberry Estate and the surrounding countryside on horseback. From a leisurely stroll around the lanes to an exhilarating canter around our canter field (ground conditions and rider ability permitting) we tailor your pony trek or horse trek to suit your preferences and capabilities.
LEAD REIN

Dreaming of exploring the enchanting world of horse riding? Our beginner's Lead Rein experience is the perfect place to start! No matter your age or skill level, we warmly welcome all beginners. Under the expert guidance of our instructors, you'll learn the fundamentals of horseback riding in a safe and supportive environment.
OWN A PONY

Let your children embark on an unforgettable journey of fun and learning with our delightful ‘Own a Pony’ experience. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, they'll take their first steps into the magical world of pony riding, learning essential skills like grooming, saddling and riding our friendly ponies.
HORSE AND CARRIAGE
Experience the magic of horse and carriage rides at Turnberry Resort. Let our majestic Percheron horses lead you on a leisurely carriage journey through picturesque landscapes. For an extra touch of excitement, we offer our guests the rare opportunity to become the carriage driver themselves. Guided by our instructors, you can take the reins and experience the thrill of being in control of these magnificent creatures, making your ride truly unforgettable.
ARENA HIRE
£30 PER HOUR
We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to hire our brand new indoor and outdoor arena and exercise field. Immerse yourself in the freedom of our exercise field, where you can let your equine companions stretch their legs, graze, and revel in the open space, and when it's time to take your horse riding training to new heights, our brand new indoor and outdoor arenas provide the perfect setting for growth and advancement. Our equestrian facilities are equipped with the latest amenities and maintained to the highest standards, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for you and your horses.
BRING YOUR HORSE ON HOLIDAY
Trump Turnberry welcomes the whole family - including the Equine members. Including stable (rubber matted and with drinkers, buckets can be supplied on request), bedding (2 bales to start and 1 additional bale every week, more at an additional cost as needed), hay or haylage as required, tack storage on site, private paddock, use of the facilities subject to prior booking if available and trailer parking. Featuring 22 newly built stables, each meticulously designed with your horse’s comfort in mind. With practical features such as rubber matting, automatic drinkers and a hot wash area for grooming, every detail has been thoughtfully curated to ensure your horse’s well-being.
Beyond the stables, a range of first-class facilities await, including an outdoor arena, indoor arena, exercise field and riding field. Explore the stunning scenery of Culzean Country Park and the Resort's scenic beach trails, accessible directly from the livery's doorstep.

• 24/7 turnout in small groups from spring to autumn, horses can be brought in during the day on request
• Field care duties as appropriate
• Bedding as needed, two bales per week during winter and one bale per week during summer*
